I wish, I wish, I wish I were a fish.

Fish have the coolest eyes. I gotta admit. One of the greatest photography innovations is the "fish eye" lens. I love the peripheral view that this lens can create and the distortion that follows the edge of the circular frame is the best for some really creative shots.

I have a Canon SD110 Digital. I love it. It has been my best freeze frame friend for almost 3 years. The only problem with most pocket size digital cameras, is the fact that you are severely limited with the choice of lenses you can have. I was fortunate enough to find a wide angle lens on eBay that has a magnetic ring that attaches itself to the lens on the camera. Great find for only 40 bucks. But for most you have no choice.

Well, I'm gonna let out a little secret that I have kept hidden for a couple months now.

One day I was roaming around my house being creative. With digital in hand I walked to our front door, paused and was dumb founded at what my eye had seen for years... but never thought about. I moved toward the door and did what thousands of people do when someone rings their doorbell. I looked through the peep hole. Much to my excitement and previous knowledge... it was a fish eye lens. I quickly put the lens to my camera up to the peep hole and my heart raced. It worked!! I quickly got a screwdriver, pulled the lens out of the door and it became my new best friend.

Of course, there is still a hole in my front door from where the lens used to be... but I solved that by stuffing a tissue there. Yea, I know... but my discovery was worth it.

It defiantly is not professional lens quality but it sure is fun. Check em out!!!

So, with that said, I encourage anyone who has that creative bone in their body to go home tonight, rip that peep hole out of your door and start snapping pictures of whatever. Because if you were a fish... that's what you would see.
